Girls Rock Philly runs music and empowerment programs for young people on Germantown Avenue. The summer camp is the big draw. Over a single week, girls and gender-expansive youth pick up instruments, form bands, and perform a set for an audience, enough time to build real skills rather than just dabble. The staff pours energy into the work, and that carries through to the kids, who leave with new chords under their fingers and the confidence to play them. Parents report their daughters come home still buzzing about the experience. Rated 4.4 stars from 9 reviews.
