I recently photographed a lovely wedding at the Duportail House in Chesterbrook, PA on September 20, 2019. This property is gorgeous for a wedding! Perfect backdrops for photography include an old barn, a porch with ornate fencing, a bridge with a creek, old trees, and manicured gardens. You step back in time in this 1740 farmhouse. The bride and groom had their cocktail hour before the ceremony and then the ceremony behind the old barn. The light swept across the barn perfectly and was stunning on the bride's face during their vows. This charming venue is run efficiently and is an historical treasure. Perfect for an intimate wedding!

We chose Duportail House as the venue for our daughter’s wedding the weekend of 10/19/24. The scenic setting of the house and the barn, especially set against the fall foliage, was breathtaking. The event coordinator, Karen, is such a pleasure to work with. She is knowledgeable in all things wedding and she works diligently to make your event a special one. Whatever we wanted, Karen agreed to and helped to make it work. Her suggestions for catering, flowers and photographers were wonderful. When we said we wanted to have an area for an art project she made it happen. When we said we wanted a Mario Kart video gaming area she made it happen. When we said we wanted to have the Philly Waffle Cabin food truck come for dessert, she said “Sure! Why not?”!!! She promised us the weather would be perfect for an October outdoor wedding and boy, did she deliver on that!! Guests are still reaching out to us to let us know how wonderful everything was! I cannot say enough good things about Duportail House - Chesterbrook. I would give one hundred stars if I could!!

Our daughter's wedding was at Duportail House 9/20/24. We had the best experience possible, from beginning to end. Karen was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and on the day of the wedding. We got so many compliments about whole thing, from the house, the barn and grounds, to our personal touches. Karen also created all of the floral arrangements using seasonal flowers from local farms, and they were absolutely beautiful! I would recommend Duportail House in a heartbeat! Thank you!

The surrounding land is beautiful and open and is tucked in the blossom of Chesterbrook. A truly serene scene filled with trees, hills, and valleys that attracts a diverse assortment of timid, yet majestically cute forest creatures. The 2 homes on the property are vintage-styled and comfy. They sit adjacent to a beautiful refinished barn that has an old-time shelter for four-legged animals. It's such a neat and dreamy place to explore!
